FOCUSED ULTRASOUND BODY CONTOURING
With the rising demand for body contouring, noninvasive devices for fat reduction has become increasingly popular and have grown dramatically over the past decade. Aquariushape focused ultrasound has been used for nearly half a century for the noninvasive treatment of tumors of various organs but has only recently been evaluated as a method for the selective destruction of adipose tissue. Aquariushape focused ultrasound works by ablating subcutaneous adipose tissue and causing molecular vibrations that increase the temperature of local tissue and induce rapid cell necrosis. Several studies reveal the safety and efficacy of Aquariushape focused ultrasound for fat reduction in the abdomen and the flanks. These studies indicate a consistent reduction in abdominal circumference > 2 cm after a single treatment. The adverse events are limited to transient tenderness, bruising, and edema. Increased utility of aquarium shape focused ultrasound for fat reduction will likely increase over time.
FOCUSED ULTRASOUND THEORY
The focused ultrasound systems adopt two emission source poles focused by an especial angle and then two ultrasound wavelength from two different ways generate uncredible energy, deliver low-intensity ultrasound waves via a handheld device across the skin surface. The ultrasonic waves focus their energy in the subcutaneous fat. The sound waves hit the fat cells under the skin, causing them to vibrate and break up the cell membranes. The destroyed fat cells are then carried to the liver, where they are metabolized. The procedure is performed in a quiet environment, lasts about 30 minutes, and requires no anesthesia or sedation. After the treatment, patients would be able to resume their daily routines.
